What are we looking for?
We are seeking art submissions. This could be anything from poetry, to painting, to music. These are just examples and we encourage you to use creativity in your submissions.
What is the theme for submissions?
The theme is the question "What does wellbeing mean to you?" - a question often not asked of autistic people, especially with higher support needs. Most of our planning team is autistic and want to amplify the experiences of autistic young adults with higher support needs through our event.
Who can submit?
We are seeking submissions from autistic adults who identify as having high support needs. We absolutely allow caregivers or parents to assist in any part of the process (e.g., submitting the art, attending the event).
When is the art due?
The art submissions are due July 14th, 2025 at 5pm in your time zone. This will give us enough time to organize all submissions for the showcase on July 19th, 2025.
Is there travel expense funding available?
Yes! We have limited funds for travel reimbursement. Please fill out the form on our site located here (or above in the navigation under "Travel Funding") to apply for travel expense funding. Note: We hope to reserve most of the funds for travel expense reimbursement to autistic people from the Global South, though all are welcome to apply.
Where can I see the art after the event?
We will be posting art submissions (with each artist's consent, of course) shortly after the event for asynchronous viewing.
Thank you for your interest in being a part of our event!
